  • I have been working out with Marcia for about a year.  When I started out, I was in the worst shape of my life.  I was recovering from tendon surgery in my foot and had been out of commission for months.  I was at my heaviest weight, my blood pressure was high, and I had very little strength. Marcia was very understanding of my situation and very supportive.  She created workouts which fit my individual needs while still not stressing my foot and risking another injury.  I train with Marcia once per week and attend her boot camps.  I also used the web based workout format which was excellent.    Marcia has a very supportive attitude but still pushes you to go a little harder.  She understands we all have setbacks but is there to encourage you to carry on.  She is also an inspiration as a busy mother who practices what she preaches.  She works hard herself and understands the challenges we all face with busy lives and making our health a priority.   She has a vast knowledge of different exercises and strength training modalities.  She mixes up the routines so you’re never bored week to week.  My results have been amazing.  I’m back at my normal weight but stronger than I have ever been.  My blood pressure is also now completely normal.  Marcia is awesome and can help anyone of any fitness level reach new heights.

  • I was apprehensive about joining the Rock Star Bootcamp. By nature I am a very shy person and I had not actually worked out for over four years (since having my children). I knew getting in shape wouldn’t be easy and I was looking for a support group that could help me stay on track. From the first moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and not at all out of place. All the members were supportive and helpful every step of the way. It was no time at all that the workouts were showing results, and I felt better than I had in years! I do not dread getting up at 4:30 to work out before work, it actually makes me feel energized throughout the day – Marcia and Amanda keep the exercises challenging and exciting, and help me modify some things because of my knee. It has been six months and I have surpassed my goal of losing 20 lbs. (aka my “baby weight”) and am still going strong. This is one of the best decisions I have made!

  • I started Boot Camp back in August when my kids went back to school! I was looking for something different than just what I was doing! Attending Inspires Mobile Fitness bootcamp was a great decision! I go three times a week and I love it! It is hard work but I am enjoying it and I look forward to going each time! General Fitness Related FAQs

What should I eat before a workout?

Answer:  Ideally, you should fuel your body 45-60 minutes before you exercise so that you have enough energy to conquer your workout. We recommend fruit and yogurt, wheat toast with peanut butter or protein shake with half a banana.

If you don’t have time to eat before an early morning workout or you want to lose extra body-fat by doing fasted cardio, BCAA’s are a good fuel source that will give you much needed energy without upsetting your stomach. It can be consumed before, during and/ or after your workout.

What's the best diet for weight loss?

Answer:  There’s no such thing as the best diet. Most diets work as long as you can stick with. Studies have shown that regardless of which diet is followed, adherence is the ONLY thing that predicts success. That means it doesn’t matter if you pick a plat-based diet, ketogenic diet, high protein/ low carb or whatever else. What matters. Most is that you stick with it for the long term. You have to be able to sustain it for life.

I've never exercised before, is Bootcamp to much for me?

Answer:  No. We have a lot of newcomers who haven’t exercised in while or in some cases, never. Most of those people were intimidated about trying a class. What they found when they actually tried the class was a very supportive & encouraging environment and trainers who could modify the workout to meet everyone’s needs. If we see or you let us know that you’re not comfortable with a particular exercise, we can modify it to fit your needs.

How often should I do cardio?

Answer: As much as you want, as long as it is paired with a weight training schedule! Cardio is great for building long twitch muscles and endurance but for over all fitness and health it needs to be paired with strength training.

How often should I lift weights?

Answer: 2-3 times a week depending on how heavy you lift and your schedule

Will lifting weights make me bigger?

Answer: Your muscles will get bigger, but you will lose fat so you will measure smaller! Muscle is half the size of fat. As long as you are lifting correctly and eating the right amount of protein, fat and carbs (macros) your body will react appropriately and get smaller and tighter.
